I went outside to just go outside and I noticed that the flowers I used to like in my childhood had finally grown. I started taking pictures like A LOT because it was like exciting for my inner child. ALSO bitch the weatherrrrrr was GREAAAAAAT. the sun was looking so beautiful in the sky so I got up to take pictures and there was this giant black planet behind the sun. There were shadows on the ground and I saw a skinny black owl standing by the house looking at me. There was black smoke mixing with the clouds coming from behind the house. It was like the red sun/planet sun type of thing. I was feeling a lot of anxiety. Like I could feel fear. Like I was actually there. Like at most I get scared when I’m in a nightmare but bitch the nightmare was in the sky. Usually I’d think something like this was cool but I was literally scared. I went back in the house and I could hear rose telling my dad that people were saying there was lightning striking in our area which explained the black smoke but the sky was sunny and the clouds were growing. I went up stairs to throw one of Nate and Alex’s toys down because for some reason I took it with me outside. I went in the kitchen and they were making breakfast like they used to and the boys were sitting at their little table like they used to. For some reason Nate got up and tried to pick me up, mind you he’s like 7 in the dream. Brittani was saying it’s not nice to hit girls and my dad was saying something but I forgot what he said which is kinda interesting cause he didn’t talk in the beginning of the dream then I couldn’t make out what he was saying in the end. Then I just woke up.
Your dream is rich with symbolism and emotional resonance. Let's break it down piece by piece to explore its potential meanings.
Returning to Childhood: The vibrant flowers from your childhood represent nostalgia and a longing for simpler, happier times. The beauty of the flowers and your excitement in taking pictures reflects an innocent joy and the importance of reconnecting with your inner child. This may suggest that you are seeking comfort or positivity in your current life, perhaps yearning for periods of ease and joy that you associate with your youth.
The Beautiful Weather and the Giant Planet: The contrast between the gorgeous sunny day and the looming black planet suggests a duality in your life experience. The sunny sky signifies optimism, clarity, and potential, while the enormous black planet symbolizes fear, anxiety, or an overwhelming presence in your life. This juxtaposition may point to feelings of being overshadowed by fears or anxieties, despite there being positive aspects you can appreciate.
The Black Owl and Shadows: Owls often symbolize wisdom or intuition, but in this context, the fact that the owl is black may indicate something mysterious or unknown that you are grappling with. It could reflect a fear of the unknown or deeper truths that you are hesitant to confront. The shadows could be your worries lurking beneath the surface, suggesting that even in times of joy, there are fears that you need to address.
Black Smoke and Lightning: The black smoke mixing with clouds may symbolize confusion or chaos. Lightning typically represents sudden insight or revelation but can also evoke fear of the unexpected. The anxiety you felt during this part of the dream hints that there are situations or emotions in your life that are tumultuous or difficult to navigate.
Return to the House: The return home signifies a desire for safety, comfort, and familiarity, a retreat from confronting your fears. Hearing Rose talk about lightning suggests you are processing information about dangers or concerns (the lightning striking) that are not immediately visible (the sunny sky), hinting at a disconnect between your perception of reality and underlying issues that may be troubling you.
Interactions with Family: The scene where you're with Nate and Alex, as well as your dad and Brittani, represents a longing for connection and protection within your family unit. The playful dynamic, especially with Nate attempting to pick you up, may symbolize your desire for support and a nurturing environment amidst your anxieties. It also emphasizes that family dynamics can offer both comfort and conflict, reflecting your search for love and security against a backdrop of fear and uncertainty.
Conclusion: The dream encapsulates a journey through nostalgia, fear, and family dynamics. The feelings of joy associated with reconnecting to childhood are starkly contrasted with the anxiety and fear that manifest in the form of overwhelming symbols (the black planet, shadows, smoke). It suggests that while you may be in a phase of joy or growth, there are unresolved fears or concerns that you need to face.
This dream may encourage you to explore these feelings further, perhaps seeking ways to reconcile the joys of the past with the anxieties of the present. Reflecting on these elements in your waking life can help you navigate your emotions and lead you toward healing and clarity.
